★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for some cocktails and ended up talking with our host Ioanna (probably spelled that incorrectly). Very nice experience and also got to taste the local proper Raki. Nice place for some drinks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After hiking through the gorge we thought this place would be a great spot for lunch - it's on the beach and the tables are clean but the food is terrible and the service is slow very slow. You can get better calamari from kebab shops in London - the one redeeming factor is it has a lovely view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We spent 12 days at the Poseidon Hotel. We booked it because it was in front of the sea but soon we realised that this hotel is much more than “only” having a nice seaview (which is actually stunning). We felt really comfortable and after every trip it felt like coming home when we got back to the hotel. The rooms are very clean and have a nice bathroom. The breakfast is delicious( fresh orange juice, eggs, bread, yoghurt with honey and fresh fruits...).The sea is very close and there are free sunbeds. The beach was clean and the staff of the beach service was very kind and always in a good mood. The cocktails are delicious and they have best Raki of Crete;)
The Poseidon hotel is a family company managed with so much love. They do their best to make their guests feel comfortable and welcome.
In the Morning Alex and Maria are there to fulfill every wish (when we couldn’t have breakfast because we went to a trip early in the morning they prepared sandwiches for us), in the afternoon Apostolis and his team are there for you to have a good time at the beach and in the evening/night you can enjoy the best Cocktails of Rethymno made by Andreas.
The Poseidon Hotel felt like home and we will definitely come back! Thank you so much for everything, guys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect beachfront location with a lovely sea view. Renovated bathroom, very clean room. Good new airco, a nice bar downstairs that serves great cocktails. Sunbeds on the beach are free for the guests. Amazing fresh breakfast. And, of course, the staff made us always feel so welcome, it was a pleasure to stay there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love the open feel of the bar, in the summer there is a big fan cooling the whole bar area which is also really nice. The prices are good, the servers are very friendly and they know how to make a good cocktail. You can ask for a song if you want and the atmosphere is chill and still a bit classy.
