H	Hubert Wiesbauer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schöne Wanderung. Bietet am Vormittag auch noch reichlich Schatten. Letzter Abschnitt durch Steineichenwald mit bizarren Baumgestalten. Der Gipfel wird von einem Paar Kolkraben umkreist, die wohl der Prophet zur Bewachung des Kirchleins da hinbestellt hat. Nice hike. Also offers plenty of shade in the morning. Last section through holm oak forest with bizarre tree shapes. The summit is encircled by a pair of ravens, which the prophet probably ordered to guard the church.
M	Mago on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schöne einfache Wanderung. Startpunkt ab Kyperessia über Stasio oder einfacher mit dem Auto bis zur Kapelle Εκκλησία Άγιος Ιωάννης Στασιού. Dann dem Forstweg bis zum Ende folgen und ab dort die Hinweispfeile auf den Steinen beachten. Nicht zu verfehlen - einfach. Nice easy hike. Starting point from Kyperessia via Stasio or easier by car to the chapel Εκκλησία Άγιος Ιωάννης Στασιού. Then follow the forest road to the end and from there observe the arrows on the stones. Not to miss - easy.

Το εκκλησάκι άρχισε να κατασκευάζεται το έτος 1953, με την συνδρομή των κατοίκων του Στασιού και κατοίκων από άλλα χωριά του κάμπου. Η θέα στο σημείο είναι μαγευτική, το εξωκλήσι βρίσκεται στην ψηλότερη κορυφή του όρους Αιγάλεω στην Τριφυλία, ο ορίζοντας ανοίγεται από την Πύλο μέχρι την Κυλλήνη. Στον εγγύς ορίζοντα, από Νότο πρός Βορά την Πύλο ,την Σφακτηρία, τις παρυφές των Γαργαλιάνων, την νήσο Πρώτη, τα Φιλιατρά, την Πλάτη ,το Περδικονέρι, την Φαρακλάδα, την Σπηλιά, τους Αρμενιούς, τον Αγρίλη ,το Χαλαζόνι ,την Τερψιθέα, την κάτω πόλη της Κυπαρισσίας με το λιμάνι, το Καλόνερο, τις Ράχες και στη συνέχεια τα χωριά της Ζαχάρως και της Ηλείας. Στο μεμακρυσμένο ορίζοντα, τις Στροφάδες, τις ακτές της Ζακύνθου, τον Αίνο της Κεφαλονιάς, δεξιότερα την Κυλλήνη. Το ξωκλήσι του Προφήτη Ηλία εορτάζει τις 20 Ιουλίου. Οι προσκυνητές ανεβαίνουν από την παραμονή 19 Ιουλίου το βράδυ στον Προφήτη Ηλία, όπου διανυκτερεύουν υπαίθρια, ανάβοντας φωτιές. It is situated at an altitude of 1217m at the top of Mount Geranium. The chapel began to be built in 1953, with the help of the inhabitants of Stasi and residents from other villages in the plain.
