Uns wurde ein kleineres Auto als vereinbart übergeben (Als wir den Mitarbeiter darauf hinwiesen, sagte er, der Chef würde uns anrufen, um das zu besprechen - Herr Thiele hat sich aber nicht gemeldet.) Das Auto war ca. 15 Jahre alt, hatte fleckige Sitze, Roststellen und etliche kleinere Dellen, der Tank war fast leer. Ein großes Problem war jedoch die Klimaanlage des alten Autos. Sie kühlte den Innenraum überhaupt nicht, nur vorne blies etwas kühlere Luft raus. Da wir zu viert im August (täglich 34 Grad) auf Kreta waren und es selbst bei längerer Fahrt auf der Rückbank brütend heiß war, konnten wir leider nur ein paar kurze Fahrten unternehmen, aber nicht wie geplant die Insel erkunden. Auf unsere Beschwerdemail nach ein paar Tagen erhielten wir keine Reaktion. Für einen zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt im August war dieses Auto eine Zumutung, so dass wir Protos leider nicht weiter empfehlen können. Dass sie auch bessere Autos haben, merkten wir bei der Rückfahrt zum Flughafen, für die uns - damit unser Gepäck überhaupt Platz hatte - ein größeres Auto zur Verfügung gestellt wurde. Dieses war gepflegt und die Klimaanlage funktionierte.

We were given a smaller car than agreed (when we pointed this out to the employee, he said the boss would call us to discuss this - but Mr. Thiele did not answer). The car was about 15 years old and had stains Seats, rust spots and several smaller dents, the tank was almost empty. A big problem, however, was the old car's air conditioning. It didn't cool the interior at all, only the front blew a little cooler air out. Since the four of us were on Crete in August (34 degrees daily) and it was brooding hot on the back seat even after a long drive, we were unfortunately only able to take a few short trips, but not explore the island as planned. We received no response to our complaint email after a few days. For a two-week stay in August, this car was an impertinence, so that we unfortunately cannot recommend Protos to anyone. We noticed that they also have better cars on the way back to the airport, for which we were given a larger car - so that our luggage had room at all. This was well maintained and the air conditioning worked.
