★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Venezianischer Wohnturm, der im 17. Jahrhundert errichtet worden ist. Er diente wie die anderen Wohntürme auf Naxos auch Verteidigungszwecken. Er besteht deshalb aus meterdicken Mauern und nur wenigen Fenstern. Der Zugang zum Haus führt über eine im ersten Obergeschoss mündende Treppe. Den oberen Abschluss des Hauses bildet eine "Zinnenkrone". Schließlich ist das Gebäude durch eine hohe Außenmauer gesichert. Das gusseiserne Tor zum Grundstück war bei unseren Besuchen leider immer verschlossen, so dass der Wehrturm nicht näher besichtigt werden konnte. Vielleicht öffnet sich ja mal irgendwann die Tür.
Venetian residential tower, which was built in the 17th century. He served like the other residential towers on Naxos also defense purposes. It therefore consists of meter-thick walls and only a few windows. Access to the house is via a staircase opening on the first floor. The upper end of the house is a "pinnacle". Finally, the building is secured by a high outer wall. The cast-iron gate to the property was unfortunately always closed during our visits, so that the tower could not be visited. Maybe someday the door will open.
