Μου την σπάει έτσι όπως γίνανε τα πράγματα. Ζούμε σε μία χούντα. Τα δύο αστέρια είναι για αυτό. The church is nice. Τα φαινόμενα, όμως, απατούν. Πρόκειται για ένα περίτεχνο ναό με βαρύ στατικό φορτίο, με μικτές τεχνοτροπίες, που δείχνουν την ψυχική ένταση των κατασκευαστών, προκειμένου να της δώσουν όσο το δυνατόν μεγαλύτερη λαμπρότητα και μεγαλοπρέπεια. Πιστεύω πως πρόκειται για Τρουλαία Βασιλική μεταβατικής περιόδου. Τα τόξα που στήριζαν τον τρούλο της παλαιοχριστιανικής τρουλαίας βασιλικής μετατρέπονται σε τέσσερις αβαθείς καμάρες που διαμορφώνουν ένα σταυρόσχημο πυρήνα στο κεντρικό τμήμα του ναού. Οι μεγάλοι γωνιακοί κτιστοί πεσσοί βαθμιαία μειώνονται σε όγκο και στη θέση τους διαμορφώνονται μικρότερα στηρίγματα και γωνιακά διαμερίσματα. Οι σταδιακές αυτές εξελίξεις της τρουλαίας βασιλικής θα οδηγήσουν στην μετεξέλιξή της στον εγγεγραμμένο σταυροειδή τύπο που θα επικρατήσει στη μεσοβυζαντινή περίοδο. Αξιοσημείωτο μειονέκτημα σε έναν τόσο μεγαλοπρεπή ναό τόσου πληθυσμού. There is no ramp from the main road, disabled parking and the church ramp is not autonomous.
