★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great panoramic view of the lake on the monastery balcony. Very nice indoor and outdoor. Dirty old and unhealthy toilets. Despite the fact it accepts a lot of tourists it seems abandoned. It has a secret room they call it 'hidden school' ( kryfo scholio) where students supposed that have been taken lessons when Turks owned Greece but there is no any historical evidence of such a thing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Greek Orthodox monastery upon the Doxa lake. Traditional products are selled at the entrance of the monastery, as well as tasty hand made (from the monks) sweet from rose. The access is easy by road, the nature as well as the panoramic view of the area is amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sacred place with many important historical moments that took place in this orthodox monastery in past times. There is a great view in the lake below. The abbot makes a special sweet, made from rose flowers from roses cultivated in the monastery fields. Recommended for tasting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a quiet and mysterious place. When you walk, you hear the old trees and the cats are welcomed. I have to go on a steep path, but I have to go because my heart is calm and I can see good scenery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great location of the monastery with spectacular views of Dpxa lake. Definitely worth a visit. There is also a hidden classroom that operated during Turkish occupation to keep Greek traditions and knowledge alive.
