★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Τό Santa Maura Hotel, αποτελεί κατ' εξοχην, μία αρχιτεκτονική πρόταση!!!
Χτίσθηκε τό 1850 επί Αγγλοκρατίας, διατηρώντας όμως Ενετική τεχνοτροπία.
Αρχικά προοριζόταν για κατοικία.
Αργότερα, άλλαξε ιδιοκτήτη καί από τό 1959 ξεκίνησε νά λειτουργεί ως ξενοδοχείο, όπου με αυτήν την ιδιότητα λειτουργεί καί σήμερα!!!
Προσωπικά τό επέλεξα, διότι βρίσκεται στο κέντρο τής πόλις καί σέ απόσταση "αναπνοής" σέ όλα εκείνα τά σημεία στα οποία ήθελα νά βρεθώ, δηλαδή είτε καταστήματα είτε θάλασσα!!!
Τό δωμάτιο μου ήταν ευρύχωρο με εξαιρετική ηχομόνωση μόλις έκλεινα τά παράθυρα. Επιπλέον, είχε καί μπαλκόνι, απ' όπου απολαμβανα νά πίνω τον καφέ μου ή να διαβάζω τό βιβλίο μου, όταν δεν ήθελα νά βγω έξω στην αγορά!!!
Τό Santa Maura Hotel αποτελεί ιδανική επιλογή για όσους αγαπούν την πόλη της Λευκάδος καί αν θέλουν νά τό χρησιμοποιήσουν ως αφετηρία για οποιαδήποτε άλλη παραλιακή περιοχή τού νησιού!!!
Η Κα Κέλλυ Σταματέλου - τελευταία απόγονος καί ιδιοκτήτρια- μαζί με το προσωπικό της, είναι εκεί για νά σάς εξυπηρετήσουν με χαμόγελο καί ευγένεια!!!
 Santa Maura Hotel, is par excellence, an architectural proposal !!!
It was built in 1850 during the British occupation, but maintaining a Venetian style.
It was originally intended for residence.
Later, it changed owner and from 1959 it started operating as a hotel, where it still operates today !!!
I personally chose it, because it is located in the center of the city and at a "breathing" distance in all those places where I wanted to be, that is, either shops or the sea !!!
My room was spacious with excellent soundproofing as soon as I closed the windows. In addition, it had a balcony, from where I enjoyed drinking my coffee or reading my book, when I did not want to go out to the market !!!
Santa Maura Hotel is an ideal choice for those who love the city of Lefkada and if they want to use it as a starting point for any other coastal area of the island !!!
Mrs. Kelly Stamatelou - last descendant and owner - together with her staff, is there to serve you with a smile and kindness !!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hotel, unfortunately a guest DJ was playing (loudly) until 3am in a bar around 50 metres from the hotel on the night we were there. Probably just bad luck, although it is very close to the centre of town with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. WiFi was a bit intermittent.

Good for the location but can get a bit noisy in the evening.
The rooms are very simple and while clean, they are a bit outdated.
The bathroom is also outdated.
Service is good.
All in all the ration quality/price is fine for a 1/2 nights stay
