Wow, what a trip. From start to finish this trip was perfection, from booking on WhatsApp, to the all day private sail itself. There are numerous, probably hundreds of options available to you when looking at a boat trip in Santorini. We read the reviews and opted for the all day private sail with Captain Cosmas. We chose very well indeed. The booking process via WhatsApp was easy and informative. The pick up and drop off from the hotel was smooth and luxurious. The boat itself was a 51.2 ft yacht, spotlessly clean. We were made to feel totally at home on the boat for the duration of our trip. Captain Cosmas and his extremely talented daughter Eirini kept us away from the crowds, but managed to show us the true beauty of their island from the sea and under sail, which was truly a magical experience. The peace, the colours both of the rock and the sea, the different landscapes, the sheer faces of the coastline and the gorgeous white buildings perched in the cliffs. Then there was the food! Well Eirini prepared us meal upon meal, delicious fresh fruit, tomato ball's, a wonderful pork dish, salads full of goodies, seafood risotto loaded with mussels and prawns, all absolutely delicious. Drinks were provided all day, nothing was too much trouble. Both Captain Cosmas and Eirini were extremely knowledgeable and shared their passion for their wonderful island and their respect of the sea with us, we learnt lots. We chose to swim at four different points, with one for snorkeling, which we loved. The hot springs were fascinating and we both loved swimming from the boat to Theressa, a small island neighbouring Santorini. Then there was the sunset. Not another boat in site, just us and the sun bobbing on the ocean with an array of colours that was truly majestic. The 11 hrs aboard disappeared, we loved every single minute, one of the best experiences we've ever had and well worth it, a very special day. Thank you so much Captain Cosmas and Eirini for the most perfect day.

Great experience, Captain Cosmos is a very sweet person! He took us to the best spots of the island (not the touristic ones, except the hot springs which is unmissable) and he cooked awesome food for us. Thanks again!!

This trip was perfect! It was a last minute decision. We contacted Captain Cosmo only some hours before the departure via WhatsApp to make a reservation for the sunset tour on the same day. He was there on time and then our trip started. First we could enjoy the view of Oia from the sea below, take a swim and enjoy fresh fruits. Afterwards we did put up a sail and sailed over to Thirasia island where we could go swimming again and enjoy the appetizers. The sea was quite rough when sailed over to Thirasia, but no problem for captain Cosmo and his crew! They will always keep you safe! Afterwards we sailed all around Nea Kameni island to reach the hot springs. All along we could enjoy the nice view of the Caldera and take many photos. After swimming in the hot water, dinner was served, everything was very delicious! Finally, we sailed out to see the sunset over the ocean and then we headed back to Ammoundi Bay. The sea was again very rough and because it was also very windy and the sun was down, it got a little bit chilly. However, this was not a big problem because the captain handed out some blankets! Below Oia we stopped again in calmer water for some minutes to take some night photos from Oia. The view was again amazing! Around 9:30pm we were back safely at the dock. This trip could not have been better! We did not expect such great hospitality, good food and all the nice views! Because of the rough sea it was also adventures, but never scary. Thank you Captain Cosmo and thank you to your son! Some hints: Even in July and August: Take a wind proof jacket with you plus some dry clothes. Other than that you don’t need anything (of course wear your bathing suit). If you might get sea sick take a Dramamine some hours before leaving (or some other medicine which will prevent you from getting sea sick). And also: Unless you come by scooter or motor bike, arrive there at least 20 minutes in advance, since there will be many, many cars, so you have to walk down form the parking maybe 10 to 20 minutes.

It was the best experience in Santorini. Captain cosmos, the food, the music was just perfect. We actually paid more as it was just amazing. One of the best authentic food we tried on yacht as compared to any famous restaurants in Oia. The captain was very helpful and the trip was very smooth. I’m glad I didn’t book Thalassa with 50 odd people. Must must must do. I highly recommend to book with Captain Cosmos.

This was the best night in Santorini! Captain Cosmas and Captain Eirini were so friendly and kind, extremely knowledgeable on Santorini/Thira and the caldera, and incredible chefs!! Everything about our experience on board Europe was incredible. We doubled our photos in one night. Definitely will not forget this experience. I cant recommend this enough to everyone!!

Incredible experience- a must do when going to Santorini. Seeing the cliffs of the caldera from the water is a must! Seeing it with Captain Cosmos is a double must! My husband and I rented the boat for a day tour and it was the highlight of our trip. The boat is roomy and clean, captain cosmo and his son are fabulous hosts. The views, music, unlimited drinks and homemade food was amazing … actually the food was so authentic and fresh it was some of the best we had! Captain shared the history with us, let us swim when desired and made it a great trip. We didn’t want a crowded, impersonal day tour with dozens of tourists packed on a vessel which is what most boating trips end up being… we were so thankful to find captain cosmos. Even if you booked yourself with the small group tour (2-3 other couples) you’d find the experience intimate on this larger sail boat or just book the boat for yourself (like we did!) Bonus! He picks you up & drops you off at the marina in Oia so no long crowded transfer bus from the other end of the island!
