A really amazing place to visit! A very interesting gorge! The rocks are a little slippery, so make sure you take your hiking boots with you - just to be safe! Be prepared for climbing on trees and slipping on rocks! A must visit - been to 3 gorges while in the area and this was my second best (I'm a nature lover, would put it first if the other canyon didn't have a forest in the gorge!)

An amazing place and a must see if you are in the area. Wear comfortable easy to dry clothes and shoes. There is a little pond by the end of the walk able part of the gorge that you can enjoy a dive.

Attempted this in early June. Water was still fairly strong. Went with my 9 year old boy and wife. Only got halfway, was a bit too much for the wife, she's fairly fit but not keen on climbing. Beautiful gorge from what we saw but I wouldnt say this is for your average walker, you need to be able to climb a bit.

Enjoyed visiting here, it's a bit of a trek to get to (driving is recommended) but the views in the gorge are beautiful. Strong footwear is recommended as you will need to walk through several streams as well as climb some slippery rocks to progress through the gorge.

Beautiful gorge! We did it in September and there was still water running. The climbing is a lot of fun and you have ropes and steps to help you! Great scenery! We walked 45 min up and 30 min back! After hiking you can enjoy a coffee or beer at the cafe at Mithi!

Beautiful canyon hike with lots of shade and some water even in high summer. Also good for the less experienced and children. Individual climbs are all supported by ladders or ropes, so no equipment is required apart from sturdy shoes and a good camera :).

Best adventurous gorge hike in all of Crete as it requires wading through the water, climbing on boulders and through little holes. There are some fixed ropes for support. Very few people a bit further down the gorge...

While I was driving through Crete i came across to this beautiful canyon. The best thing was.that i was all alone. Such a beautiful experience. The drive in the mountains is also worth it. I made a lot of nice video's. Unfortunately I couldn't post it here.
