We had booked this place for 4 nights in July 2nd week 2019. We were a family of 4 including 2 small kids. The only good thing a out the place is that the whole house is your own with fully equipped modern kitchen. We had to a actually struggle to find this house for good 2 hours as there was no board that mentioned "semili caves". The Google map too showed incorrect directions due to which we had to carry our heavy luggage along with kids, climbing upstairs. Finally after much searching on the internet when we did find their number, they sent 2 people to help us out find the place. By that time it was 8pm already and we had access to almost nothing around. The reason is as follows. As far as location is concerned, it's out of reach for even basic necessities like milk, eggs, grocery for the kitchen etc. It is a good 20-25 minute walk from this place to go uphill and find a suitable store. There is no service and the owners are hardly available on call incase we need to know something about the house or places nearby. They did provide us a help who was supposed to come on alternate days but again there was no time fixed as to when will she come. Overall, the house is not good for families with children and only if they work upon the customer service, they can do good. The Jacuzzi had no lights working and even the some of the verandah lights were not working. That meant staying indoor in the house without using the balcony.

The cavehouse is located 15 min away from Pyrgos center (on foot) and 5 min by car. In Pyrgos you can catch a bus to travel around the island, but the walk to Pyrgos is not an easy one, rather steep and exhausting. There is not a single meaningful grocery store in the city, so you unfortunately should rent a car to get to bigger stores. Cavehouse was very clean and nice, we had a wonderful time there, but there are some issues with it. What I mean is: - water pressure in the shower was rather low - roof in the bathroom is not high and I had to kneel down to take a comfortable shower (I am 1,83 m) - the kitchen stove is not working properly, it is hard to cook a meal on it, the pan was gibbous on the down side, it barely worked on the stove - the dust was everywhere after the first day, it was very windy at that time, so not only once did we use the sun beds or the terrace chairs - in a master bedroom you have to turn on a ventilator, but even when it’s off there are weird sounds coming out of it, it made falling asleep rather difficult Great things about the cavehouse: - great communication with Marilou, she picked us up from Pyrgos - jacuzzi is the best thing in this Airbnb, you can sit in it for hours, the water was very warm - the view was rather nice, but not as nice as in photos, especially not pretty vegetation blocks the view from jacuzzi level - WiFi was great, there is a tv, but without smart TV, so you better take some dongle if you want to watch something on it (Mi TV stick worked great) We had a great time in the cavehouse, would recommend it to my friends and family, but unfortunately you have rent a car for a few days to get some groceries and travel. Hope this review helps you.
