SENSE Rooftop Restaurant - Dionysiou Areopagitou 5

Great place, with great food, service and wonderful view of the Acropolis. Dessert was the best!!! has a veggie, short and long menu… now in my favorite places. Try the local drink: MASTIHA. Excellent service from Constantino!

Taste and presentation: a clear 10/10, we chose the large menu and everything was absolutely delicious. Top, just top. Location and view: 8/10, not all tables have a great view and parking is a problem. Service: 7/10, it was ok but awkward, I cannot exactly describe what was off, but something was. It did not feel as professional as in similar places. And they lacked "rhythm", two stages arrived together and then there was twice a longer pause than expected. Seating: 0/10. I have not been more upset with this anywhere, even street vendors offer better seating. If you're more than a modern XL size (so about 100kg) you're not gonna like what's waiting for you. Even mid sized people with a bit broader hips wouldn't fit comfortably in these chairs. Unbelievably inconsiderate, almost humiliating. I had to protest to get another chair (from another hotel floor, none available in the restaurant) for my big fat bottom, although it was so obvious I had trouble feeling comfortable (I couldn't even fit!). There's the awkwardly insufficient service, they should have seen it. Plus: almost 15 stairs to get into the restaurant, no problem for me at all but surely a big one for others. All in all: an absolutely amazing chef and cooking crew, in a not so amazing restaurant.

Nice setting with good views of the Acropolis All in all it was a good experience with well prepared dishes. From all dishes the quail was the best. We found the lamb to be the weakest. All in all good for dinner

A great location for dining and having drinks with an amazing view of the Acropolis. The drink menu is quite diverse. The food menu is a set menu with 3 choices (at least the day I visited). One option was Vegan 5 course meal and the other 2 had Lamb set on an option of 5 or 8 course meal. Thou I am pretty sure it would probably had been great I chose not to eat due to my dietary choice. I would say try the place and you would love the view, the service was great and who knows, menu may be different on that day or it may be something to your liking

The view of the restaurant is amazing but be aware that not all the tables offer that view. So I would recommend calling and asking if those tables are available because if not, you will either be looking at the coat hanger or at other people that can see view. In terms of food, we picked the "gastronomical Journey" menu and all the dishes were really good. Definitely recommend to get it. As for the staff, they were nice and efficient. We appreciate that, once a table with a view was free, they moved us there and made the dinner more enjoyable. I would just recommend that the restaurant buys more wine buckets because they had to struggle with all the wines and not enough buckets.

I visited Greece in early May and booked to surprise my dad for his 60th birthday at SENSE for our first evening in Athens. Despite the fact we were late for our booking, the staff were more than accommodating with keeping our table, and upon arriving to the restaurant, found that they had reserved us a table with the best views! We opted for the 'Gastronomical Journey to Greece' tasting menu and it did not disappoint. My favourite dish was the quail but each dish was put together fantastically and were simply delicious. The staff and the service was outstanding throughout the evening and went above and beyond to make my dad's birthday so special and memorable.

What an amazing night! The view from this rooftop restaurant is impeccable! The food is delicious. I ordered the 9 course tasting menu as well as a bottle of Prosecco. As an American I was SHOCKED when the bill arrived. So affordable for a fine dining experience! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant as a must try while in Athens!

There is a s no debate about the beauty of the view. The Acropolis within an arms reach in front of your eyes. And the Lecabetus hill just in front of you. How about the food though? Well I would say as a native Greek a slight departure from tradition but certainly a good one. Everything is beautifully presented, prepared from fine quality ingredients and super tasty. The ladies taking care of clients are also superb. If you are looking for a higher end restaurant at the city center with spectacular view and great food and atmosphere, don’t miss it. Nice music too. Highly recommended.
