Wirklich tolles Haus mit fantastischem Blick aufs mehr! Sehr großzügig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht! Auch der Gastgeber Platon ist wirklich zuvorkommend und gibt sehr gute Tipps, was man in Kreta alles unternehmen kann!

Stunning views and beautiful architecture but the villa had lots of maintenance issues when we stayed in June 2022. Villa Serenity is located high on a hillside with breath taking ocean and mountain views. But the views come at a cost because you have to drive on long, narrow, twisting roads to get there. I'm not a nervous driver but the route up and down may be challenging for others. Be aware that Google maps often recommends routes which are no more than dirt tracks probably because they have used satellite images only. Gerani is the local town but the roads are very narrow in places with buildings either side. There were 3 restaurants which we visited but the food was nothing more than adequate. Sadly many of the lamb and chicken dishes were over cooked. There is also a small supermarket with its own butcher, a chemist and a nice bakery. Unfortunately villa Serenity had quite a few maintenance issues: broken gas hob with no gas, a ceramic hob with only one ring working, dirty and broken blinds, a leaking washing machine, showers which could not switch between hand held and monsoon, a broken toilet seat. The pool guy did not attend daily so we suffered from ants because patios were not washed down. We raised the hob and blind issues with the property maintenance manager but unfortunately they were not fixed during our stay which was disappointing. Overall this is a beautiful villa but it needs better maintenance to bring it up to standard. I would recommend this villa for people looking for a remote and tranquil break.
