Easy to walk through with built walking ramps throughout. Great alternative on rainy days

If you want to visit a cave which easy to navigate and short in length, this is the place in Creete. You will also get a guided tour. It's quite far from the city, so if you are visiting from Heraklion, it might take you an hour or so just get there - it is worth the drive, just takes a lot of time.

Lovely place even the views before going int9 the cave. Face masks required in the cave itself. Some interesting views when inside. Kids aged 13 and 9 enjoyed it also. Some younger kids on tour seemed bored.

great cave to visit on the foot hills of the psiliritis. best of 4 open caves. there are more but they don't have lightning or infra structure. visit takes about 30 min with guide. you need a facemask to visit due to covid rules

Manolis, the guide, gave us a very detailed description of the history of cave. It is clear that he likes his job. Although you are not allowed to visit all the rooms, the visit surprised us. Highly recommended.

A beautiful cave where you can take good photos, the guided tour is 5 euros (they have different languages, inclusive Russian). The road to this destination is not good though, steep and high in mountains, and takes quite a long time, so just decide if half an hour tour is worth it. I would say, don't expect too much, it is just a cave with stalactites and stalagmites, they tour you in 4 rooms telling the history of the place, that's it.

Great attraction in the heart of Crete countryside. The caves themselves are really impressive, some of the largest you can visit in Crete. Exploring the caves is by a guided tour, the guide we had was very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the caves and their protection. He was able to explain details in English, German, Greek amongst other languages. The view from the nearby cafe is very impressive, and the bats inside the Cave were a real highlight. All in all, our visit lasted about 90 minutes, including the ~30 minute tour of the Cave, exploring the local area and stopping for milkshakes in the cafe.

This was an incredible cave to visit. It had a ton of caverns and the most majestic stalactites and stalagmites I've ever seen. In addition, the drive to get to this cave from Heraklion was about an hour but the drive itself was just AMAZING! There were a lot of winding roads but the scenery was just gorgeous. I'd highly highly recommend this cave to everyone. Just know that there is a 5 euro entrance fee so that a tour guide can tell you about the cave...... and they close at 5pm. So, I'd recommend going earlier in the day just in case they close early.
