Sithonia Lodge - Ασκαμιά

The rooms are ok based on the price level. The beach is not quite good. However, the reason I would not recommend this place is the way the place is managed. The host - Marina, seems very polite and helpful in the beginning but she appeared to be annoying, texting us all the time, asking us to adapt our daily schedule with her, not well-organised and last but not least she was rude and was abusing us. She said to me that I am "the only inconvenience". She was requesting us to leave at 8:00 a.m. for beach in order to clean and teaching us moral when we should go to the beach with the kids! Even when we have agreed on a fix hour leave the room she was coming half an hour earlier asking to go out. One of the most scandalous acts from her side was to check the room 3 days before the end of our stay. She made us leave the house and came with 2 other guys. They were looking everywhere. One example is that Marina was counting all forks, spoons, plates, etc. We were hearing the specific sound of the metal. After that all forks, glases, plates were touched and moved to some cupboards. And this is provided that Marina pretends to run Covid-safe place! Then she said a glass and a plate were missing. Actually, I was with that plate in hands with my breakfast in it when she said that we should go out. So I was in the yard with the "missing" plate. I can write much more, however, if you need more justification why not going there then you deserve to "enjoy" the place. Never ever again, Marina.

The place was clean and good value for the money, but the host (Marina) attitude was quite unprofessional and we had a lot of tension during our stay. She couldn’t arrange fixed cleaning hours for the house; she was texting us non-stop with all sorts of questions and she even tried to charge us for a broken glass without having such fee or rule in her welcome documents. We didn’t have a peaceful vacation because of her. I’ll never come back there and I wouldn’t recommend staying there.

Great place especially for families. The host is very friendly and helpful. The house was spotless and with basic kitchen accessories. Nice beds and towels clean and fluffy. The garden is a great place to have your breakfast or a drink. The beach is very close About 40 min to an hour drive from the most popular beaches of Sithonia.. I will definately reccomend it for family holidays..

Everything was great! Perfect location, ideal for families with kids. Staff was helpful and nice. 5-10 min. walking distance to the little village if you need supplies (food, etc.), bakeries, restaurants, anything. A personal query/suggestion, it would be great to have a water heater for tea and maybe a small coffee french press in the room :)

We loved our stay there! The place is clean and really close to a very nice beach, that has natural shade. Marina, Dexter and the whole team are just GREAT! We are sure to go back next year too.

So we visited Sithonia Lodge as our first stop on our Greek Adventure 2021. We arrived late at almost 11 PM and the Manager Marina made sure that we had a transport car to pick us up even though our flight was delayed. The check in was smooth and seamless and she even ordered us some Pizza and Souvlaki from the nearby town so we could have something to eat as we were tired after almost a 12 hour journey. The next morning was so special as we had breakfast on our terrace and nice romantic walk on the beach which is 5 mins away from the room. It is just the perfect spot as the beach is semi private for the guests. A 10 min way away from the hotel is a local taverna where we had lunch and a nice bar restaurant. We walked back to the Sithonia lodge by the beach and it was perfect. The rooms are extremely comfortable with a kitchen, bathroom, living room and a comfy bed. Everything was sanitized and extremely clean and hygienic. Marina and her team did such an amazing job keeping us happy and making out stay such an enjoyable experience 2 days was not enough we will surely be back! Also there is a bonus of the best of the best Mr. Dexter the Sithonia Lodge's mascot he is the best - beach walks with Dexter was the highlight of my trip! Thanks again Marina and Sithonia Lodge we will never forget it and will be back!

Everything is perfect here! Marina the host is very pleasant, prompt and speaks excellent English. Houses are fully equipped, although you can have an empty kitchen if you prefer. It is clean, disinfected, very close to the beach. Has a big yard which is maintained daily, outside shower when you come back from the beach, private entrance, marvelous!!! The house is very comfortable, has a separate bedroom, big bathroom, big terrace, and big living room with kitchen. The beach is nice, shallow sea, mix of sand and tiny pebbles. They provide the umbrellas, and have a gate to the beach. We are staying with a baby, and it's perfect for families with children, but also for other people /couples.

We had a great holiday at Sithonia Lodge. The complex is located at a very good location right in front of the beach and also next to the village so everything is in walking distance. We could even order pizza from the village and have it brought to our home. Marina was super helpful, gave us a lot of tips about the best beaches and tavernas in the area and helped us with everything we needed very promptly. Thank you Marina for an amazing stay, we really enjoyed it!
