Skajado - Skajado

First of all excellent view. Skajado is situated on a hill on western side of small bay. In the morning, if you manage to get up that early you will see beautiful sunrise, just open the door, get a mug of hot coffee and from the terrace see all the beauty of the bay. In the evening you will see a beautiful moonrise, just as sun in morning the moon will beam straight into your windows. I can't imagine better situated apartments. And its just few steps down to the small almost private promenade, and from there you have platform straight into the water. The rooms are big enough; you have oven and stove in kitchen, toaster, coffee machine, kettle in the kitchen; hair dryer, shower etc. in bathroom. Wireless, non restricted internet connection (which i'm using right now). Barbecue fire pit few meters from apartments if you want to use it. Everything you may need is there. Small parking directly by the appt. complex. It's about half a kilometre to the super market, you can go by the sea, or simply drive there. Nearby Tavern serves best home made dishes. I see no point in cooking for yourself with such great place so nearby. And the host... well, If not she, i'm not sure we would get to now that tavern. She showed us around, told about everything we might need to know, and simply is there for us. Really there is nothing we could complaint about... well maybe few overfriendly cats, but if you won't feed them (as host did warn us about) they will not be interfering. I'm pretty sure we will come here next year, because the place is simply perfect for holidays.

Great comfortable bed, and spacious apartment. Didn’t know if we could walk down to the sea and use the bbq area for example, it wasn’t explained during check in. Shame, we sat down anyways. Organised beach nearby w pubs and restaurants

Been there three times. Loved it. Great for people who do not like sandy beaches (even though there is one a 5min walk from Skajado). Wonderful owners. You can get fresh fish if you catch fishermen in the morning and cook it. There are a few stray cats around, but I didn't mind them. Will visit again some day

We had a great stay at Skajado! The property was absolutely gorgeous as was our room and view! The location was great and was in walking distance to the local town and the beach. The property owners were very nice and attentive and were helpful with arranging transportation for us. We would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again!

Perfect stay on Crete! Great location, quite enough, sea is right under your window. Crowded beach is 7 minutes walk, as the road is. So no motors distract your ear from the whisper of the sea waves. Rooms and whole domain are beautiful and thoughtfully made. Everything is right where it should be. Spacious terraces, plenty of sun, free sunbeds, free parking, charming public zone for guests. Look no further if you're looking for a place to stay on northern shore, just at the sea line, but a little bit hidden from crowds and bars on the main beach. I've got a feel of living on a private villa, thanks to genius arrangement of the whole place. Many thanks to owners and all staff who helps to run such a great place!

I certainly recommend this place for each person which would like to rest in beautiful apartments with sea view in quite corner far from noisy beach. Each apartment and terrace was designed carefully. Whole garden and open space were breathtaking. All those lovely ceramic pots and special grass terraces with sun bads. From our apartment we’ve got perfect view with a nice outside sofa and place to eat. Only 15meters to sea ?. So we were swimming 3-4times per day. Owners were in place and very helpful. Cleaning lady clean our room 2days. At first day we found cookies in the fridge as a welcome ?

We stayed at Skajado last month for five days and enjoyed every minute of our time there! The hostess was super friendly and welcoming, and the apartment had everything you needed for a great vacation. The location is excellent and close to almost everything. We recommend staying there, and we will consider staying there again!
