★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For only two euros (as of July 2021), you can have a pretty nice experience. The owner of the place is very friendly and will talk you through everything there is to be found in this house. For this low price, you can observe at least five generations of a Skiathos family, their way of life, their role in historic struggles and their travels abroad, from which they brought a lot of memorabilia. After the tour is done, the owner offers you a taste of their traditional hospitality: a quick drink and a cookie.
Strongly recommended. It deserves to be a lot more popular than it is.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an excellently preserved traditional house of Skiathos incorporating the history of the people of the island in the best possible way! The visit includes a very thorough tour of the house and the exhibition items by the family members who are very passionate and hospitable, a tour that takes you back 5 generations. It is a must see for everyone who visits the island!

The Greek culture is shown and proudly presented by the guides in a most pleasant, documented manner. An absolute gem. I would recommend this to anyone that is coming to Skiathos.

The focus here is the local and family’s history and we were surprised by the quality and goid preservation of the exhibits.Credits to Forini and Marena, their initiative converting their house into a museum was remarkable.Great hospitality,a must visit!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came across this Folklore House by accident and are so pleased we did. For €2 each we were given a private tour by the delightful owner and her lovely daughter. If you like to find out about history of the island this is a must. During the war the house had a picture of royalty over The fireplace. The Germans showed respect, lived in the house for 2 months and left without causing any damage. You will see lots of artefacts and find out so much more. Even got a glass of liqueur and a small bouquet of Jasmine. Please visit if you can - it’s on Polytechniou Street, Skiathos Town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definetely a must see when you visit the island! The house and the small courtyard are amazingly well preserved, and all the antique furniture, clothing and various trinkets are beautiful to see and full of beautiful history! The staff gave an amazing and detailed tour of the house and described the family's history in a lovely way. They even brought out homemade liquer and treats at the end of the tour, which considering the entrance fee is 2€ made us feel like we really spent our time well! Overall a great experience
