★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο πρώτος ναός του προσφυγικού συνοικισμού Νέας Κοκκινιάς ( σε Νίκαια μετονομάσθηκε το 1940 ) από τον Οκτώβριο 1922. Λειτούργησε σε αντίσκηνο, που πρόσφερε ο Νικ. Πλαστήρας. ‘Εως το τέλος του 1922, κατασκευάσθηκε ξύλινο παράπηγμα στην θέση του σημερινού ναού. Το 1923 θεμελιώθηκε από τον Σεβαστείας Γερβάσιο Σουμελίδη - Αρχιερατικό Επίτροπο Ν. Κοκκινιάς - ο κτιστός ναός, που ολοκληρώθηκε το 1928 - 29. Είναι κανονική σταυροειδής Βασιλική μετά οκταγωνικού τρούλου και φέρει δύο δίδυμα τετραώροφα κωδωνοστάσια. Το 1945 άρχισε η αγιογράφηση από τους αδελφούς Σούτσους σε συνεργασία με τον καθηγητή του Παν/μίου Αθηνών Αναστάσιο Ορλάνδο. Το τέμπλο είναι ξυλόγλυπτο και μεταφέρθηκε, με φροντίδες του Γερβασίου, κατά την Ανταλλαγή, από τον ιερό ναό Αγίου Στεφάνου Νίγδης, όπως και ο άμβωνας, το Δεσποτικό και δύο προσκυνητάρια. Ο ναός είναι τρισυπόστατος και τιμάται στην μνήμη των Αγίου Νικολάου, Αγίων 318 Θεοφόρων Πατέρων των συγκροτησάντων την Α’ εν Νικαία Οικουμενική Σύνοδο και της Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου. Πρώτοι ιερείς:Βασίλειος Παπαδόπουλος, Κυπριανός Παπαδόπουλος, Ευθύμιος Παπαστυλιανού, Μιχαήλ Ρηνιωτάκης και Πανάρετος Τοπαλίδης.
 The first temple of the refugee settlement of Nea Kokkinia (in Nice was renamed in 1940) from October 1922. It served in a tent, offered by Nick. Plastiras. By the end of 1922, a wooden parapet was constructed at the site of the present temple. In 1923, Sevasteia was founded by Gervaios Soumelidis - Archbishop of N. Kokkinias - the built temple, which was completed in 1928-29. It is a regular cruciform basilica with an octagonal dome and bears two twin four-bell towers. In 1945, the hagiography was begun by the Soutsos brothers in collaboration with the professor of the University of Athens, Anastasios Orlandos. The iconostasis is carved and transported, with the care of Gervasios, during the Exchange, from the holy temple of St. Stephen Nigde, as well as the pulpit, the Despot and two chapels. The temple is threefold and is commemorated in the memory of Saint Nicholas, Saints 318 Theophors of the founding fathers of the First Nine Ecumenical Council and the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. First Priests: Vasilios Papadopoulos, Kyprianos Papadopoulos, Efthimios Papastylianou, Michael Reniotakis and Panaretos Topalidis.

Significantly excellent is the "work" done by the clergy in Agios Nikolaos. Father Antonios is my support and peace in every reflection .. Our church, our house, Agios Nikolaos!
