★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ένα από τα αξιολογότερα μνημεία της πόλης των Σερρών είναι ο Βυζαντινός Ναός του Αγίου Νικολάου στην Ακρόπολη.
Οι πρώτες πληροφορίες για το Βυζαντινό Ναό δίνονται σε απόσπασμα Πρακτικού (1339-1342 μ.χ) στο οποίο γίνεται αναφορά «...Πύργου του Αγίου Νικολάου...» και σύμφωνα με μία εκδοχή πρόκειται για πύργο της Ακρόπολης κοντα στο Ναό. Σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία του παραπάνου Πρακτικού, πιθανότατα ο Ναός κτίσθηκε πριν τη Σερβική κατοχή, στο πρώτο μισό του 14ου αιώνα.
 One of the most remarkable monuments of the city of Serres is the Byzantine Church of Agios Nikolaos on the Acropolis.
The first information about the Byzantine Temple is given in an excerpt from the Minutes (1339-1342 AD) which refers to "... Tower of Agios Nikolaos ..." and according to one version it is a tower of the Acropolis near the Temple. According to the above Minutes, the Temple was probably built before the Serbian occupation, in the first half of the 14th century.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ωραίος ναός κάτω από το κάστρο των Σερρών, μέσα στα δένδρα με ένα μικρό αμφιθέατρο, το οποίο χρησιμεύει για πάρκινγκ. Ο ναός είναι μικρος εσωτερικά σε δύο επίπεδα, δισκοσμημενος με ωραίες τοιχογραφίες.
Beautiful temple under the castle of Serres, in the trees with a small amphitheater, which serves for parking. The church is small on two levels, decorated with fine frescoes.
