Star Beach Village & Water Park - Themistokleous 5

I spent there 7 days from 15-22 may this year. First of all ladies on the reception are rude . Treating people not really kindly and nice. I did all the paperwork and I knew check in is on 3 o'clock so I wait. I went ot th desk on 2.53 and lady told me with that rude tone of her voice that I have to wait those 7 minutes. One lady there were always happy and was smiling all the time. Her name were Arina or Irina (blond one , she speaks russian i think) Anyway. Hotel and pools are only suitable for peopl with children. Next to the pools are bars but no place to swim for adults. The one pool , bigger and deeper one are next to the bar which is not for all-inclusive quests and u have to pay 15 Euro for sunbed which is confusing , isn't it ? Only pool for me and I had to pay for being close because free seats were far away from the pool. On the rules of the hotel when u are booking it there was not a word about this things. It's just wrong I wasn't the only one confused about it , and I wasn't the one told by a guy with terminal to go or pay haha . Next is food . A lot of different kinds of salads , vegetables, pastas but everyday was the same in the fridges and loungers. 3 types of meat changing everyday, desert are tasting the same in every form of the cakes and cookies . Good thing was that u could take wine or beer or a lot of different kind of tees to drink. Coke is not a coke and juices are water. Room was clean when I arrived bit then when lady came to clean everyday she only was making my bed and that's all. I didn't want to beg for a shampoo so I went buy one in the shop next to the entrance , shop is nice. U can buy some drinks , food , snacks , ciggs , souvenirs. I won't recommend it for people 20-30 without children. They should warn people that hotel is great but children but not for others . I won't come back and I feel like I waste a lot of money but my bad. I will check double next time . Good thing is beach. Clean and beautiful . Bartenders on the snack bar and pool bars are lovely, funny and have good vibes. Guy serving toasts there are really nice. I can't say anything more positive about it , at least it's honest.

Great place, great people♥️ I'd like to have fruit as an option for snacks, since there is only high calorie snacks like fries. Animation team is great! Would recommend

Hotel was dirty. Food was horrible apart from breakfast as we survived off pancakes and fruit. There are additional extra charges that you are not made aware of until you get to the hotel like paying £7 a day to be near the pool we was out in the hotel across the road which wasn’t very ideal having to walk there and back everyday was tiring. The walls are paper thin and you can hear a pin drop staff are nice but I deffo wouldn’t recommend staying here oh Yh and there is only one all inclusive bar the rest of the bars you need to pay

Highly recommended. Stayed April 2022. Everything perfect ?. Rooms very comfortable, staff very friendly, food in all 3 restaurants delicious? with great choice. Will definitely look to stay here again.

First time in an all inclusive resort, it was the right choice! The place is well kept, clean and safe. Perfect fo children and families, lots of pools, tobogans, the pirate ship, and food for all tastes. It was a brilliant week, the blue of the ski and sea are amazing; the people of Crete are fantastic too. We will return for more

The food is superb, always something new to try. Rooms in the star suite are very nice, room service too. Pools are awesome though get boring after some time. The beach is nice, though there's not enough sand for kids to play with. One general issue I found is that the music in the main area is bad. The DJ mixes well but the general vibe is "get effing pumped!". There are no chill vibes cutting through pumped vibes. In effect you get a constant 120bpm bass line echoing everywhere (even through closed windows).

Did not get drinks for my two kids at the all-in bar. Only two drinks allowed per person. Would have all understanding, if that rule is for alcoholic drinks, but for soda drinks... come on! Rating was changed after prompt and satisfactory reply from the hotel.

Lovely hotel. The staff are so friendly and really make you feel very welcome. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The cleaning of the rooms is 10 out of 10. You are in 5 minutes walk of the town and right on the beach. Its a big complex but nicely set out with lots of different spaces. Great pools and parks for kids and more quiet pools for bigger kids. Plus nice little beach coves dotted along the shore. All with loungers and brollies. The food here is very good. There are so many choices it's almost overwhelming. It's very fresh, very tasty, very nice. I would highly recommend the Asian restaurant too. The food here is sublime and part of the all inclusive. All in all, its fabulous.
