We rented a car for one week through creteroyal.com website. We had a very good deal as we got an online offer. Finally they delivered us a very nice polo to our hotel. All the procedures was simple and smooth and the guy who brought the car very polite and professional.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. Firstly, I must say, the car was absolutely fine (a bit old dated, but was what we needed for a weeks holiday). The downfall for this company was the owner (or someone who claimed to be the owner). We originally, when booking the car online, took the full comprehensive insurance on the website. When we told this at the counter, the man said he does not recognize, he has never heard of this and we need to take an insurance with him or he will block 1300 euros on the credit card. He insisted he has never heard of this and we can't have the car without insurance. We then pulled the email and showed it to him, and suddenly he recognized it (he had for sure seen this before). The email also said that he can block only 700 euros on the card, which he then corrected. We have rented many cars in Europe with third party insurances and never have had an issue. This already made us feel like we are in for a wild ride. The man then went on to inspect the car. After about 20 seconds walking around the car he did not note any damages. My partner had to point out the scratches and bumps on the car that were already there. That was all the inspection the man did. After than we were on our way to enjoy our holiday. On our return, we already had a bad feeling about returning the car. Once we parked, the man came up and spent about 15 minutes waking around the car, looking underneath it et. (may I remind he spent about 20 seconds at the start ). He then ended up calling my partner over and saying we had hit the car on both sides, in identical spots under the front doors, as they had some surface texture. we didn't have any issues during the trip so my partner went up to see what he was on about. The man tried to convince us that the car had been hit on the same exact spot on both sides of the car (underneath the door, which is impossible to do). What it actually was , was paint bubbling, which I bet have been there for years, and the man has tried to con other people about before. He knew exactly where this was). We called him out on this, and after about 5 minutes he said it was ok and didn't charge us anything. He knew exactly what he was doing and I am sure he has done it before. It is a shame that instead of trying to have a good reputation for his company, the owner chooses to try to scam people and leave a bad taste about the entire experience. AVOID!!!

** TO AVOID** I used to spend my holidays in hersonissos each year. We booked the Mini Cooper for 2 days but the renter (manager) told us the car was finally not available the pick up day (Whereas We booked it 2 days before). He was not fair and did not find a solution for our trip (he proposed us another model with 200€ extra added fees). So, we moved to this shop without any car and found another rental (traffic rental) who was really much professional and cheaper !!! Don’t hesitate to go your way with this dishonest store.

We rented a car from Royal rentals for our holidays in Heraklion airport'. Our impressions and experience was a great surprise to meet so good service and kind staff. The car provided was new, clean and absolutely over our expectations. We got even great travel tips and ideas from the company's local employee. Definitely recommended!

We rented a car at the Royal Rentals branch in Lyttos Beach. There they gave us an old Fiat Panda for 50€ per day (which I think is relatively expensive, but that was no problem for us). What was a problem for me personally though: 1. the brakes made loud noises and also did not work so well. 2. the wipers were so worn that they made streaks on the windshield. It was raining, we had to use them, so you could hardly see anything. In addition, the wiper water was almost completely empty. 3. the tires were also absolutely inappropriate for the weather in October. The car slid away even at low speeds on the mountain in the rain. I think overall the car was not very safe.

Good rentalcar company, prices are good cars are nice, friendly staff I've paid 105 per day for a mini cabrio all inclusive. A fair price.

The guys here are brilliant. We use them on all our trips to Crete. They provided us with excellent quality cars and always accommodate our needs. Ask for Paris or Spiros who are very experienced in the Greek rental market.
