Elle est en bronze et est surmontée par un piédestal en marbre. Elle représente l'archevêque Damastikos qui aida la population durant l'occupant allemande lors de la seconde guerre mondiale et permit de sauver beaucoup de juif en leur offrant sa protection
Located in Mitropoléos square at the bottom of the Plaka district, just in front of the Annunciation Cathedral, this statue is in the center of the esplanade. It is in bronze and is surmounted by a marble pedestal. It represents Archbishop Damastikos who helped the population during the German occupation of World War II and helped save many Jews by offering them protection.
