★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful views of the sunset from a private traditional stone house in a quiet spot on Crete. You can walk to the beach past olive trees and the hives of the bees that make thyme honey, visit a local taverna and then come back and drink raki and gaze at the stars. The owner, Yanis, is very welcoming and has great tips on the area. There is even a secluded outside shower.
