Good service, good price, all agreements fullfilled. Car rented via Imperial car. There was a possibility to drop off the car in the port in the reservation options, but in reality it' s impossible because of heavy traffic in the port.

Our hotel recommended this place, and since they delivered at the hotel, we went ahead with them for a 1 day car rental in Santorini. First, the person who delivered the car to the hotel was super friendly and nice. The paperwork was just 1-2 signatures, and since we were a little nervous, we paid for the extra insurance (additional $10 euros) for the collision damage too. When car is delivered, generally there is very little gas, and he mentioned it to us (our first act was to add 10 liters - enough for 1 day). The car was clean and no damage on the outside. However, when driving we heard interesting noises and we were wondering if he forgot to deliver half the horses (power). The car had a check engine light, but later we learnt that most cars in Santorini have this issue. Despite all this, we toured the entire island - even the monastery on the top of the hill - with no issues. Overall, great experience with the rental agency, OK experience with the car.

The car from Sunrise car rental was really good but the owner who took the money from us in cash at the airport, also withdrew 20 Euro from my credit card the next day. I got it back but only thanks the Vehicle Rent Agency where I ordered the car by the Internet. I called the owner, he promised to check it but he wasn't going to return it. Why do some people think they are smarter than others?

Scam. They give you broken cars and repair them with your deposit after the check out, without telling anything. A fraudolent behaviour from start to finish. Stay away.

After having talked over the phone with staff from this company and having agreed to pick up a car, we did not receive one and the staff said we should return in a few hours to see if another one might get free. Furthermore the phone number could no longer be reached and the staff told us ‘that the manager just left the place and could not take calls but we could wait an hour cause he might return’

Honestly the worst experience ever. I emailed in advance to ask about the exact pickup location as the airport doesn’t have a desk for “Caldera”, and I never got a reply. I called on the day of the pickup and they said that even though my hotel was less than 3km away, that they couldn’t drop the car there unless I pay €20. Weird, but ok. So I walked 3km to the airport and no one was there. I waited 20 minutes and then called them. I got yelled at on the phone and asked “WHAT DO YOU WANT?” As someone who is a first language English speaker, I doubt I am hard to understand. I had to explain about 3 times that no one was at the airport to meet me. Another 15 minutes later a guy walks up to me from the opposite direction (according to the guy on the phone someone had been there waiting for me already, but yet this guy walked towards me from the street, not the airport.) I was first asked to take a smaller car, which I refused, then I was then given THE oldest car I have ever driven. I’m sure it was from the early 2000’s. It looked like it had been through many accidents and one hubcap was about to fall off. All I can say if please never use this company. They don’t deserve to be in business. They are operating under “Sunrise rent a car” not Caldera.

Car had no mechanical issues, but would not recommend Sunrise to anyone: Poor service (30 minutes late to deliver the car to the airport) and told me "when you rent from me, you wait as long as I take" when I asked what took so long. Gave us a car that smelled like cigarettes and was nothing like what we rented. If you want something cheap that will get you by, Sunrise will do this (hopefully) but if you want a car for your family that is somewhat decent, save your money and use Hertz or a more reliable company.

We rented a car for one day from Karterados for €35 incl comprehensive insurance and travelled the entire island in early March. The car was not fancy or new but it was perfect for what we wanted and unbelievable value.
