★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely institute that arrange archaeological research, conferences, seminars, workshops and other educational events. It is housed in a wonderful neoclassical building which is located in Acropolis area. It is very close to Acropolis metro station. Worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely building and an excellent conference venue, if not a little susceptible to traffic noise. This was one of the few drawbacks, aside from the slightly flaky WiFi. The director of the Institute was an excellent host and the thoroughly welcoming housekeepers prepared wonderful lunches every day. And getting to eat those lunches on the immaculately maintained roof top garden, under the modest heat of the February sun and the eternal gaze of the Acropolis was a privilege.
