Syia Hotel - Epar.Od. Chanion - Sougias

I stayed there with my family in July. We had an one bedroom apartment. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was big, clean, and spacious. Markos, the manager, helped us also with our flat tyre during our departure.

I traveled to Sougia to take Greek lessons. I stayed in the Syia Hotel for 5 nights. The rooms are very spacious and modern and Markos was very hospitable. I enjoyed the breakfasts. The town of Sougia is quite small and quiet, but there are several quite good restaurants. Because the town is small the hotel is in easy walking distance of everything. I had a few good swimming days at the beach but then the weather became quite windy. Still it was mostly sunny. There are lots of hikes nearby.

We wanted to spend two nights to relax, after a really busy working period. Some of our friends suggested us to visit this place. Finally, it was a great decision. We visited Syia Hotel in April during orthodox Easter time. Our room was big and clean, with beautiful view to the garden and fountain. The beds and mattresses are really good and comfortable. The place was really quite, and the staff was helpful and efficient. We will definitely come back.

We spent three nights at Syia Hotel in August. Covid-19 protection measures are applied properly. Markos and Dimitra were really helpful. The room was spacious, clean, with very comfortable beds. The wifi internet connection was fast. We had a great time. Thank you!

We stayed in this nice hotel while doing a hiking trip through the gorges area. Nice, spacious and comfortable room. Attentive staff. As the bus for the Irini and Samaria gorge left far before breakfast time the staff offered us the perfect solution. Perfect for this purpose but also to enjoy absolute rest !!

Sougia is an excellent location for walking and kayaking (we took our own inflatable kayak) and it is well served by bus and boat links. The village is small and friendly and has a great choice of food shops and restaurants. The Syia Hotel is spacious, modern and situated centrally with good parking. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable and the furnishings were of very good quality. The WiFi was excellent and COVID protocols were very thorough and reassuring. Markus is a really great host - readily available with information and advice. He speaks very good English and definitely helped us to get the most out of our holiday. We’d love to visit again one day!

We decided to visit Sougia for walking and hiking. We had five lovely days at Syia Hotel. The room was clean and really comfortable. The property follows many Covid protection protocols. Markos is also an incredible host. He helped us organize our walks, and gave us great recommendations. We will be back.

The room is nice, you have enough space (the bath could be a bit bigger, but that's a minor), you can separately A/C the living room and the sleeping room. Everything is clean, the small but fully functional kitchen works fine. You should not drink the water, but you can in fact use it for everything else without any doubt, like cleaning your teeth and showering. In-between the buildings (all have a ground and a first floor) there is a small fountain, which is off at night. Small balconies as far as I see it for every apartment. These are fine if you are two, if your friends want to come over to have breakfast together, it's quite tight. The owners are nice, and there is even a quiet(!) power generator in case of a power loss, which obviously happens here occasionally. As far as I know, it's the only hotel here with a generator. Some restaurants or markets in the area have generators as well, but they are insanely loud. The rooms will be cleaned daily, it seems that every third day you get new two towels and a freshly made bed. All in all i really appreciate the hotel, and I warmly recommend to have a stay here. You are only 2-3 minutes away from the center, the beach, the bars and the restaurants.
