★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional family run taverna in the old stone hill village of Drakia. Right next to the moving monument to the 140 men murdered by the Nazis. Very well cooked food and exceptionally good value for money. Must book on weekends. No smoking inside - hooray! Nice fireplace for winter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Metaxogenis is a tradiotanal Greek tavern in a superb setting: in the summer there's the tree, the fountain, shade and sun, in winter there's the cozy fireplace. They have great food, home made, family owned, a few good veggie options and it's a great place to come eat with the family. They love kids and it's fun to watch the kids run around an play together. Thank you for the nice experiences!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A home away from home. We came to Drakia with our newborn and toddler and were so fortunate to meet Nicos and his wonderful family. They were so sweet to our children. Olga's beef with plum sauce is so tender, their fried peppers are addictive, and their tavern is warmed by a beautiful hearth and full of photos from "back in the day." On a warm day, you can eat outside under the beautiful trees. Highly recommend!
