★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place to have lunch after visiting Cave of Zeus. Particularly tasty was local pork rosted or slowly baked on the charcoals with potato wedges. It was something out of the ordinary. Ladies had musakas and too commended the meals a lot. In a nutshell very homy, cozy and hospitable place. Kids, normally very selective to say the least tried bits of everything and were very happy. Definetely must visit again.
Ah, for six of us sharing 3 main courses with beer and wine, we paid only 35 euro. Anywhere on the cost it would be not less than 55.
The name of the place is Traditional Tavern Taksiarhos. Wishing them all the best.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Tavern, family run, makes thier own Raki, wine and other things ie smoked meats, hime grown vegetables, we visited here on the 28th April 2022 (my 50th) lol, we had an amazing time with the owners, laughing and talking about food, whiskey raki, loads of stuff thank you, we booked the adventure tour online which took us here after the caves, but definitely worth a visit here, you won't be disappointed thank you for a great time John &Lorraine

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can not recommend highly enough! We stopped here for lunch on our safari tour of the mountains. The pork & chicken, cooked traditionally on a wood fire were absolutely delicious! Accompanied with lovely potatoes, greek salad & stuffed vine leaves with tzatziki & a desert of yoghurt/cheese quince & honey. Wine & customary raki. The hosts were friendly & welcoming. Traditional Greek food! And best we’ve had all trip!!

Complimentary Raki is delectable and home made by the owner.

Great experience.
