★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped here for lunch as we saw this taverna on google maps on our way to Myrtos & there weren’t many to choose from. What a great surprise. It was a small taverna in a little village, you just follow the windy road down into the village. Yia yia was cooking in the kitchen and showed us a selection of about 4-5 meat dishes and 4-5 vegetarian dishes on the stove and in the oven. We chose all vegetarian dishes as we weren’t too hungry and enjoyed all of them. Even the bread was delicious! It felt like a really authentic experience. They kept coming up to us and offering us extras. (They definitely love feeding you like true Greeks). The local people of the village were all eating there too. There was a language barrier but you can get by. We won’t forgot this experience anytime soon. Highly recommend!
