★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We hopped off the open-top bus Rethymno City Tour and crossed the gorge (including using stepping stones to cross the stream) to reach the tavern, where we had delicious house-made meatballs with mint in them, a delicious omelette/frittata with onion, ham and vegetables, and of course the ubiquitous fresh cucumber and tomato salad topped with feta. They also had a unique raki, with cinnamon and sugar, that was delicious. And the setting in the gorge is just, well, gorgeous. Would go again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Didn't try food but cheap drinks available, coffee, beers, soft drinks. Views from terrace amazing. Lovely clean toilets. Nice bit of shade from walking in sun! They have a pulley system to bring supplies across from top of gorge which is fun to watch!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful cooking - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Omelettes, souvlaki, seafood... Super friendly staff. You often have the entire open air patio seating area to yourself. Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place and excellent relationship with the owner Vicky. She is so kind, so you can rest, dinking something fresh, you can eat very good homemade greek food, and ask her the story of the family's mill. She speaks italian very well☺️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ok tavern, which if you have walked the full gorge I imagine is a really nice way to end. Children meant only a short walk. Friendly staff and nice place to sit and chat. Oh, and there were kittens so the children loved it.
