Ταβέρνα Νεκτάριος - Ταβέρνα Νεκτάριος

Great tavern, we ate there with the family the best food in Crete. On the first day we tried the dishes of a competing restaurant, but when we tried this one, it was immediately obvious where we would eat the next day. First of all, the prices are slightly lower, the portions are bigger, the food is amazingly presented (for example a little caviar or grilled pineapple for decoration, which tasted amazing). I can definitely recommend the Calamari ("Baby Squids"), the fried sliced ​​zucchini (we got lemon olive sauce with it), the tzatziki, which I recommend with every order, and the prawns, but I'm sure everything else is great too. The bread was very soft, smeared with garlic butter, and the watermelon for dessert was extremely juicy. Unfortunately, many of the dishes on the menu were not there, but the waiter suggested that she would prepare them especially for us (we didn't use it, we had to come back the next day). The service was very nice, they exchanged a few words with us. I definitely recommend it for families with children, but also for seafood gourmets on a budget. The place definitely deserves more local publicity :)
