★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely the best place to have dinner in Kalamata (we tried several other places before finding this gem). Here are several words to support this statement:
1. The place is off the beaten tourist track - it is visited mainly by local people, which is always a good sign as Greeks are quite choosy when it comes to food and drinks
2. The food is absolutely fantastic!!! Fresh local ingredients combined with traditional home-cooking style make all meals in this tavern delicious and unforgettable.
3. The owner, who will also quickly take your orders, is a very polite and friendly guy.
4. Last but not least the prices are more than reasonable - 2 persons could have a 3-course meal with drinks for less than 35 euro.
5. Small tip: it becomes a real 5-star experience when you try the freshly roasted goat meat (traditional Greek meal and a specialty in this tavern).
