★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good amount of chamomile tee with a tea pot. Some much fruits with the yogurt! Moussaka is only 5,50€ and the view is really something. White table cloth instead of a paper one. Olive oil came in a small bottle and it is only 1,50€.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent taverna all around - great food, great service and a gorge-us (sic) view :).
The standouts are the saganaki cheese, the grilled lamb chops (but expect less meat than in US or most of Europe. Treat more like chicken wings or finger food) and the snails. The snails are a similar species to French escargots, but are done in a salt-n-vinegar style. Huge flavor and an impressive punch of concentrated acetic acid. A life experience worth having.
The owner bakes desserts and we tried the walnut pie. Really excellent and authentic with a gentle aroma of cinnamon/cardamom and a soft honey syrup towards the bottom of the cake.
Will come back here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small and cosy family Tavern. Wonderful view on valleys and mountains. Very tasty cousin, no sea-food, but the meat is outstanding. Price level lower, then on the coast. Good and rather fast services.
Multilingual menu. Very big portions.
Place for children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be not affected of the new building, the food is super fresh and tasty. I had a burger and even we’ve been the only 2 guests, it was fresh, medium from the grill. Fantastic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect place for lunch/brunch break on your way from Preveli. Delicious food at fair price, amazing mountain view, polite and friendly owners, who will serve you. Also, there is a kids corner. Would definitely recommend this place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely beautiful place with a very friendly owner who speaks English very well. He’s welcoming and there’s a fantastic kids area too! The views are gorgeous and the whole place has a lovely, welcoming vibe. We found it by chance and we’re so glad that we did. They have the sweetest freshly squeezed OJ and lovely coffee. They also serve local delicacies which are favoured by all. The owner also lives here and told me it’s very popular with the locals more than tourists. This makes me want to come back again as I don’t like touristy places. It’s really lovely and well worth a stop for a meal or a drink if you’ve had a long drive. Or you could even stop on your way home from the gorge or beach. It’s so nice! I’ve taken lots of photos to show just how lovely it is. We will be back! 10 stars from me!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit harder to reach from the main road but worth the effort. The food was pretty good and staff was polite and welcoming. It is obviously a family business. This place has an amazing view on the mountains and surrounding hills of olive trees. Breathtaking really. Pricing was below the average for Crete, two coffees, souvlaki, house speciality with beef and cheese in tomato sauce and greek salad were at 27.5 euros.
