There’s nothing we love more than getting a restaurant recommendation for a local spot from a local. Taverna Saita was a perfect example of this. Excellent food, great wine and a relaxed and casual atmosphere. Hit all the right notes!!

Very glad to have found this place amongst the more touristy places in Plaka. We ate here a couple of times and found the service and food was excellent. Highly recommend the eggplant in the oven and the feta cheese in the oven (with extra spice).

This place is located in very rushed touristic street and it s very well rated. I didn't have such good experience. Fried codfish that I had for dinner was very oily. I understand it's fried, but oil was just flowing from side to side on my plate as I was moving it. Grilled halloumi that I had as appetizer was well done, though.

Lovely food, ask for the daily fresh! Quick service, yumm yumm. 3 night in Athen, every day I ate here. Lamb, fish, calamari all good. Busy place, come on time!

Busy place famous with tourists. You have to wave down the servers if you want something, but the upside is delicious food at low prices. House wine 1liter 8€, fried squid 9€, 0.5L beer 3,5€. My squid was a bit overdone, but everything else tested very good. Two people were fed and made tipsy with just 35€.

Best restaurant in Athens! If you want to taste the real Greek food, you have to try Taverna Saita. The best Mousaka, amazing Greek salad and many other well prepared meals. The staff was always friendly. We tried one time and came back the rest of our trip.

We enjoyed the fried eggplant and the eggplant dip, the slow cooked lamb was also really good. We ended up spending a bit more than we thought but enjoyed the authenticity of the restaurant. We ended up getting a few Melomakaronas (Greek Christmas cookies) which was a nice little touch and yum! Overall, the restaurant was good but after trying a few others during our visit, they all come out on par.
