Pro: Food was good.
Cons: We waited a lot for our dinner, although the place was half empty. We waited a lot for the drinks, waited a lot for the bill... ! One guy, probably owner, joked 15 minutes with other customers exactly near our table. He should take our order first, then joke around as long as he wish. We were with a small child and it was getting really really late. Never went there again in our 8 days stay. We preffer Babis and Corissia with verry profesional impecable service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were staying opposite the Paradise taverna and witnessed how popular it has become - this is in no small part due to its enthusiastic and courteous owner who is so welcoming and proudly offers to show you the daily special meals in the kitchen. This time I opted for a slow cooked pork and peppers dish - it was melt in the mouth and beautifully tasty. We planned to come back for breakfast on the morning we were leaving (having eaten only cereal for 10 days whilst enviously watching Paradise customers going back and forth to their breakfast buffet!) Sadly we ran out of time and didn't make it ... but we'll be back in September!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another great family owned restaurant in the town. Great service, attentive staff, great choice of food, we even were invited to kitchen to see Chef specialities of the day. Grilled feta was nicely soft with good seasoning and veggies and fried aubergines were stunning. And that's just starters ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We do not recommend this Taverne!!!! We came here around 21 o'clock, we sat down. After at least 15 minutes , a waitress told us that they don't have half of the items on the menu which is exactly the dinner time! And they should told us beforehand. Then she recommended us the mix grill. We accepted. Then we wait for 40 minutes!!! We asked them why the food is ready for who came later. They told us that the order was forgotten. They said they will prepare the food in 5 minutes with bigger portion. Actually it is the same protion as others and the chef said the lamb chops is out of stock and they replaced it with suasage without telling us on beforehand. Last but not least, the chicken souvulaki is raw!!! VERY BAD EXPERIENCE IN CRETE. SAVE YOUR TIME, DO NOT COME.
