★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a magical experience to visit this temple, the most complete example of its kind in Attica. Really amazing. Very close by is the Stoa, now an excellent museum.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easily spotted from various points in Old Athens, the perfect dimensions of the relatively small Temple of Hephaestus are pleasing to the eye. Situated on top of a hill not far from the Ancient Agora, this doric style temple is worth the short walk. The views from the hill on Athens and Acropolis are breathtaking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ More or less complete ancient Greek temple. The setting is quite nice as well. There are some tropical birds that live in the rafters. The steps up to the temple can be treacherous, so take care. Once you make it to the temple level it's ok.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the very few historical sites in Athens that is not completely broken and the majority of the structure is still intact. it is part of the ancient Agora of Roman that is included as one of the locations for the combination visiting pass.
I enjoyed viewing this more than Acropolis since there are lesser people around and you can see the structure much better. The area itself is very comfortable to walk around a stair a shade created by plants growing around the site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The temple is thee most well preserved, massive and impressive as they come in Greece. First a temple for centuries then converted into a Christian church then to be a museum and finally back to a preserved temple. When taking pics really zoom in at the top to see the different depicted scenes from the ancients carved along the top.
Nov 1 to March 31 every Sunday is FREE!! Be respectful of the site, the visitors and locals. This is not a site that wheelchairs are easy going, path walk is narrow, lose gravel and dirt along with hils, dips and grass in the rest of the site that surrounds the temple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A complete ancient Greek temple, I loved it. The details are amazing! The setting is great and the walk trough the garden is peaceful. If you go before the 1st of April, you only have to pay €10. Totally worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning! Had the opportunity to visit this temple in December 2021. There was hardly any crowd this time of the year. The size of the temple is astonishing and makes you feel small. The attention to details is amazing!
