This place was recommended by our air bnb host & was about a 15 minute walk from Plaka. It did not disappoint and we had our best meal in Athens here. The baked eggplant with tomato and manouri cheese was incredible. The tzatziki was the best we’ve tried in Greece. The quality of the food was fantastic and the prices very reasonable. Outdoor seating and great service. One of the workers was very friendly and gave us advice for our onwards travels. Highly recommend this place.

The food was amazing, we had octopus in vinegar, musaka and jack potato everything was delicious. The service is good and the place is nice, you can choose to eat outside, with tress and flowerbeds as the view.

My wife and I were looking for a place to have dinner and since she is nine months pregnant, dining in a restaurant where smoking is allowed was out of the question. After talking on the phone, the staff assured us that there is a non smoking room in the restaurant and we booked a table. We were very pleasantly surprised to find out that there was absolutely no trace of smoke in the non smoking area (unfortunately rather rare in local restaurants in Greece). The staff was very polite and helpful and the interior decoration warm and cozy. The food was great and the overall pricing low. On the plus side, they serve dessert after you finish your meal. I would definitely revisit. Congratulations to the owners and staff for maintaining such high quality services.

Quite a decent place, fried food was OK, we visited on a special public holiday, when serving only fasting food / seafood. The pedestrian street right in that neighborhood is quite special. Average to good, to be fair

My Airbnb host recommended this neighborhood restaurant, and I am so grateful she did! During my short stay in Athens, I came to the Trikyko Tavern three times, and enjoyed everything I ordered, from split pea spread, Greek salad, baked feta cheese, to octopus in vinegar with olives and capers. The gentleman who owns the restaurant was always welcoming and the staff were friendly, too. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! It was wonderful places like this that made my Athens trip amazing.

We asked our kids to meet us at the restaurant when we arrived in Athens. But with a flight and rental car delay, they waited and extra 90 minutes for us after they ate. The restaurant was very accommodating and didn't mind they extra wait, plus we had a few dishes and drinks when we arrived. Try the homemade lemonade and the fried keftedakias, to die for!!

It's a great local restaurant with amazing tasty foods, relaxing environment and very welcoming and kind staff and owner. We are very glad that we had our brunch/lunch there it was such a great experience. They also offered us a complementary dessert at the end. Definitely can not recommend enough.

Amazing authentic greek restaurant. Some of the best food I had in Athens. They have small portions options for some of their plates, making it perfect for solo eating or groups.
