B	Boxin Jin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the best dinner at Athens so far. I was a chef too. I can feel the chef here cook with their heart and design with patience. The chef special is outstanding! The taste is balanced from sauce to meat. The waiter are nice to us too. Thank you.

The dishes look like tasty pieces of art and when you close your eyes you can see the Greek mothers who left their secret recipes wit the chef of Mani Mani. This made me curious about the Mani region in the Peloponnese. If the food (and wine) is this good, I have to go for sure. But for next time when I am in Athens, I will book a table in advance for this highlight!

Usually I would avoid salad(as it’s a just a combination of raw veggies), but this is a MUST TRY. The goat cheese is not as heavy as usual, very balanced favour. The olives - it’s actually grape wrapped by olive - how creative! Feels like all different kinds of fresh and vibrant flavors burst into my mouth. The two veggie dishes are super nice too- especially recommend the one with the “foam”, it’s called sth along the lines of “fricessca”. The sauce is amazing, it brings the best out of the mushrooms, and the quality of the mushrooms are AMAZING! So fresh and juicy!!! Fish is catch of the day - and it’s indeed catch of the day, very very fresh and chewy fish meat! Didn’t have time for dessert, we insist going there before heading to the airport - no regrets. Staff is really nice. Restaurants are very clean. Unlike most of the restaurants, the toilet is on the same floor, no need to go another level up or down. Toilet is also very very clean. Please please try this restaurant, and void other tourists traps nearby. You won’t regret!

The appetizers were very good - the taramosalata was sublime and so was the fricassee of wild and enoki mushrooms. The wine list was select and good. My main was beef cheeks and was too rich in my opinion, the only reason this isn't a five star review. The orange cake dessert was delicious but the other two suffered from the tendency of pastry chefs to gild the lily. Simpler would be better and sweeter isn't always best.

The atmosphere was very lovely, and their twists on Greek staples (such as the Greek salad shown in my photo) was refreshing, delightfully unexpected and very delicious. An excellent experience overall.

And the mushroom appetizer dish was so amazing (my personal favorite of the night)!! The orange cake was also fantastic! The Beef cheek had marvelous presentation and the meat so sooooo tender! Again, it's so worth it!
