★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great sculpture by George Zongolopoulos, located on the city’s waterfront boulevard. It was constructed in 1997 and it’s height reaches 13 meters. Although I’ve seen it only during the day it is impressive in all parts of the day and night (as it is illuminated). The umberellas are one of the most photographed sculptures in the world and no wonder.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great placement along the board walk, and a nice location to take pictures even during sunset. Relatively close to many important landmarks which also cause this location itself to be slightly underwhelming. Easy to get to, enjoy, and take pictures, but not significant enough considering many great landmarks and locations the city of Thessaloniki has to offer. Not exactly a must, but a nice place to stop by and relax. With correct time of day, you can probably pull off great pictures, however, viewing in person won't have much of an impression.
