We even came across a very nice old store (Theonas) with an old man at the till.

There was a water fountain with drinkable water at entrance though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This isn't any monument as we though. It's only small tower (main photo from Google Maps is abuse) and one floor. All is closed and neglected - you can't go inside, but if you could, you probably couldn't go upstairs because of lack of stairs*.
Of course, it could be old, but isn't presented as monument as you think.
*(I thing - I'm not sure)
