★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible food experience in a cosy atmosphere. The food was amazing (best fennel pies we've ever had!) and the staff were all the nicest. Prices are super affordable too. We'll be back many times!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall great food and experience. They set up a table for 6 outside for us. Seems to be a locals only joint. Practically everything we ordered was excellent. Eggplant salad could have used some salt to highlight the smoke and balance the bitterness. Dolma could have been cooked a bit longer as the rice was still a bit hard but great flavor otherwise. Had issues with paying by credit card since they are new and probably haven't had too many US tourists. Eventually paid using Apple pay.

Very enjoyable food that has a very authentic feel to it with a good selection of traditional/contemporary dishes from across the country. I cannot praise the pork apaki enough! Out of all the nice dishes this really stood out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great place ! A street back from many of the other restaurants, so a bit of a hidden gem. We’ve been in Athens for four days and had tried the dishes that repeat in all the restaurants, but tonight we were treated to some variety that we hadn’t anticipated. All the dishes we had were outstanding, probably the best we’ve found during our stay. This is generally a great neighbourhood for local restaurants, but Valitsa is a cut above the rest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommended, perfect place for a cozy dinner, delicious food, very friendly service. My favourite was the grilled octopus and the fried squid, but you should definitely try everything, you won't regret it. I'm sure we'll come back!
