O	Olga Tagner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were immediatly impressed by Vakis' personal welcome to us. (We were also immediately introduced to the well founded Greek democracy principles;) The food was wonderful; the well seasoned meat fell right off the bones; the meze dishes (we had 7 different) were also very tasteful. And - If you would leave that restaurant hungry: It would be on you! The meals were plentiful! The drinks (Mojitos; Caprinas) were excellently mixed and you could really taste all ingredients, as well as the alcohol, which some bars seem to forget is a part of the drink. Vakis helped us chose wine both of the evenings we spent there, and we really enjoyed his choices. All staff member were very serviceminded; attentive, but not pushy. You felt that you had privacy, but good, personalized service. If you go there, you will most probably revisit this place. If you do - Say "Hej" from us to Vakis!

T	T Enge on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This taverna soon became our favourite during our stay in Rethymnon. Very friendly staff and excellent service in the restaurant as well as on the beach. No pressing! Vakis and Monika understand the business and their professionality is a joy. The food and the drinks/cocktails were excellent and reasonably priced. Try the spare rips! They come from the wood oven and are tender and juicy. We visited here several times and hope to come back. 5 Stars from Petra & Thorsten !?

Also really good portions, we had starters and unfortunately didn't have room for deserts. I would recommend this place if you are looking for an authentic cretan place to eat.
