★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place. Stayed last week. Reception very helpful, friendly with really warm welcome. Saw this hotel by passing and seeing the pool. It looked inviting, well kept and easy to park. Was only going to stay one night but stayed two, to explore the area more. Really nice clean room, views amazing, peaceful with very pleasant family running it. Their own fresh eggs, water, tea coffee and other basics complimentary in communal kitchen.
Kitchenette in the room was well equipped with complimentary large bottle of water in the fridge too. Nice touch and made you feel very valued.
Fabulous stay and lovely egg breakfast!
Would definitely stay again & highly recommend.

But it was overpriced and this droped my rating by a star. I do not know if the overpricing was due to booking.com but we payed to much for the room.

We booked a superior sea view room with double bed, based on all the good reviews. However on arrival the staff member said they had a problem with the Plumbing, and we only have a ‘basic’ room ( no sea view and 2 single beds) . Having seen for myself that all superior sea view rooms were Already occupied with no plumbing issues. Clearly a case of double booked, having seen other similar reviews from there sister hotel the Iris, this would appear to be there normal lies to cover the fact that they double booked.
The hotel itself is crying for a major refit and renovation ( see photos), the pool area looks great in the photos, but the reality is far different, and in breach of many health and safety issues.
If your looking for a pleasant stay in Monemvasia, AVOID this establishment

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small but nice hotel, especially since it has a Saltwater pool and the Sea is possibly 50 meters away. They handle the covid19 problem with success, especially for breakfast. The only problem is if you are planning to stay for two or three weeks, the room is very small, and if you like to buy a watermelon ? it's a problem because the fridge is a bit bigger than a mini bar. To bring a big suitcase with clothes, another ?problem, in order to come to your room the corridor is very narrow. Actually it's a hotel for people staying not longer then three to four days ( using very little luggage) . The parking should be Asphalt, or even Beton since all your shoes or luggage is covered with a very fine white dust and difficult to remove.
But anyway this are minor problems, since my stay was excellent, especially the look to Monemvasia itself was top. The Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms are very clean with a excellent wi fi connection..and a nice new 32 inch LG TV set
Definitely next year I am planning to stay again, and as I said before, I can only recommend it!
