Απλώς μαγεία! Τα υπόλοιπα είναι φτώχεια!
Just magic! The rest is poverty!

Fabuleux !!
Fabulous !! We spent 2 exceptional weeks in a dream location. The house was amazing. Countless rooms, carefully chosen decoration. An absolutely idyllic exterior. The old stones blend with great care with aromatic plants and trees providing shade. What about the pool… .. and the view !! The place is magical for a family with teenagers, children and parents. The place is secluded but offers absolute calm barely disturbed by the sound of sheep bells ?. To finish…. Home !!! Thank you to the hosts for making us so welcome. Their kindness, their availability and their advice to visit the region were the most of our stay. I recommend this place a thousand times. Well done, well done and thank you.

The AirBnB listing put this as children friendly. However it is NOT infant friendly. There are lots of stairs to get to the villa entrance, and then to almost any room. The only room with relative access (just one step) has the bath and toilet (!) in the bedroom. Good luck taking a shower after the baby is put to sleep. The baby cot we got was broken and literally held together with duct tape. I actually had to add more tape just to keep it from collapsing. One showerhead was broken too and the owner replaced it after we told him (he did not fix the cot however. I guess he was out of duct tape). The fully equipped kitchen does not include a microwave. The villa is built in stone into the hillside and is already quite cold in mid October. Heating costs extra (this was not written in the listing). Apart from this, the area itself is lovely and pastoral. The air is as fresh as mountain air gets. Accessing the villa requires some strained 1st gear work but is quite doable for a moderately experienced driver. We did it with a rented van just fine. The place does feel authentic (it was the owner's grandmother's home) and has lots of rooms, but is not suitable for small children.

Our experience at Villa Askyfou was very bad. We arrived a family of 6, 4 children. The house is full of staircases not mentioned on the pictures. One of the steps broke when my daughter stepped on it. She fell but fortunately just got a bruised knee.Next to this staircase, some barb wires, broken roof tiles, construction rests. The host was still showing us the house when she fell and he just put the stones back on top of each other. He later accused our family to have broken it.The house is humid and dark, not like on the pictures. There is mold in the kitchen's sink and all around the bathtub. The room with the big plastic tub is completely dark.None of the bathrooms have windows. One of these bathrooms is situated kind of on the way to 2 others bedrooms in a little living area. No door. Good luck for intimacy. The kitchen fridge was so filthy, black of mold and full of food residues that it was impossible to use. The host answered this matter telling us that this fridge was broken and that another fridge was available in the house: together with the bathroom, at the opposite of the house, going up and down staircases (one very steep!)  twice and crossing 2 rooms!Happy cooking. The washing machine is old, under the pool area and right next to a filthy toilet. The house if full of dusty objects and so are the closets, there was not even space to put our clothes. The general atmosphere is very depressing inside.Last but not least, there were dead insects everywhere, a lot of dust, many fat stains, the windows were covered in humidity, the baby bed right out of the cellar, smelling bad, broken and hair, everywhere hair. The house was superficially cleaned. We were so disappointed that we decided to leave the property. The host made terrible problems to refund our money, even saying that the proof pictures we took were from another house, calling us liars, accusing us of things we didn't do. It took us all the energy in the world to pack again our 4 kids, drive around to finally find our next holiday house for half the price and absolutely perfect on all levels! Despite the pool and the nice view (we easily found several others places offering that too, even better), we highly recommend you not to take this house! The host is very friendly as long as you don't complain. He even mentioned us that he would come with his lawyer instead of apologizing and trying to solve the problems. This is just a shameful tourist trap pretending to offer authenticity. Never again.

This is not only a wonderful holiday home but also a museum of prestigious antiques. Absolutely tranquil place - the only thing you hear are sheep, cats and birds. Hosts are extremely easygoing and we had a warm welcome with wine and fresh fruits. Thank you!

The view of the plateau is amazing. The rooms are traditionally built but with all the modern comforts. The place is suitable for sightseeing, hiking and trekking.

We had a brilliant stay here for a week. The views are amazing, the villa was very comfortable and very clean. A great place to stay if you want to get away from everything for a week. The hosts were very warm and friendly and even got some food in for us, unprompted, as we arrived so late at night. We would definitely recommend this villa and would stay again.
