Amazing view. Amazing house. Very friendly owner. Left a pair of sunglasses behind and he went out of his way to get them to us. Big house can accomadate a big family very confortably. Would reccomend staying here.

David C. “The most gracious and helpful host imaginable, beautiful spacious Villa, unmatched views – with a private pool!” Our fantastic visit to Athens could not have been better. I, my wife, 19 year old son and 18 year old daughter planned an almost last minute trip to Greece and we were very worried about putting together an itinerary that made full use of our relatively short (1 week) visit. After booking, the Villa's owner Andreas put us at ease and helped via email with making so many of the arrangements - restaurants, transportation, site seeing, monuments, tour guide – all the choices were perfect. Villa Politia: The Villa is north of the center city in an area essentially carved out of the mountain with beautiful large villas. Villa Politia is positioned behind automatic wrought iron gates towards the top of this exclusive area with an expansive view of all of Athens extending on to the Aegean Sea. These stunning views can be appreciated from all of the private balconies, breakfast table, pool even from the Jacuzzi in the master bathroom. The Villa has three large floors, spiral staircase, elevator, covered garage area, foyer, and many security features. The 3 large air conditioned bedrooms on the top floor all have their own private balconies. Very comfortable bedding and all amenities. The second floor has a full kitchen with all appliances and clothes washer. It is an open floor plan with dining area living area beautifully furnished with an outdoor table where we enjoyed morning coffee and breakfast while soaking up the views and breeze. By the way, I recommend hiring a cook (Andreas arranged for us) for breakfast which we did. She brought in all of the food, prepared and served a lovely breakfast each morning for a reasonable fee while we dallied on the veranda. On the bottom floor is a beautiful bar area and another well-furnished living room with balconies encompassing the wonderful outdoor pool which was so refreshing after a hot day of monuments. The bar has a large wine cooler, refrigerator, sink, espresso machine. Restaurants: Wonderful regional food is so important to us. Short story is tell Andreas what you are looking for and just take his recommendations. First night was gourmet seafood restaurant directly on the marina named Papaioannou. Impeccable fresh food, service and our table open to the sea. Certainly one of our most memorable dinners as a family. Many other great meals followed at all levels from typical Greek Taverna to gastro. Monuments: We opted to hire a professional private tour guide for several of the days. A bit expensive I think but worth it. We had a very knowledgeable and kind guide with extensive archaeological credentials. Arranged by our host of course. Could do on your own our in groups but it is nice to be able to take whatever pace you desire. The “must sees” are of course as you would expect Acropolis, Temple of Poseidon etc. The Museum especially the Parthenon room where you view the original Parthenon close by out the window is absolutely breathtaking. On the way to the Temple was nice to stop in Vouliagmeni for the spring fed lake and nibbling fish. It is hard to find any negatives about this property. I will say finally that the owner, our Host Andreas, went far above and beyond in his generosity of time, hospitality and knowledge . A unique place in Athens,in the middle of Politia on top of a great hill at 600 above sea level in the core of Nothern Athens. A masterpiece of architecture, mixing up with plenty of beauty, the legacy with the modern. Everything you touch and see is made of finest detail in human touch. A place that can accomodate you, and the feelings that will fullfill you the energy of the area of Politia. An alternative for those that need to find silence and serenity, contact with nature and fly to the stars at nights.
