★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ωραίο κ παραδοσιακό χωριό..με πολύ φιλόξενους, εγκάρδιους κ χαμογελαστους ανθρώπους αξίζει να περάσετε από αυτό το μέρος κ να σταματηαετε για μια ρακί στα μαγαζιά..κ να γευτείτε τις νοστιμιές σε πολύ οικείο περιβάλλον
 Nice and traditional village .. with very hospitable, cordial and smiling people it is worth to go through this place and stop for a raki in the shops..k to taste the delicacies in a very intimate environment

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Limnes must be one of the prettiest villages in Crete. It isn't large and doesn't get a lot of tourism, nevertheless the local shopkeepers offer a warm welcome. It is a quiet place, yet there is an obvious pride in the appearance the village and it is a delight to walk around. it is also the starting point for a very pretty circular walk that takes you along the silent country lanes from here to Choumeriakos, Vrises and Nikithianos, with old windpumps, windmills, and a couple of monasteries to visit on the way.
It's easy to reach from the main road and there's free parking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not sure what everyone else likes about this place? We stopped here since it was highly rated in Google maps, but there doesn't seem to be anything to do, or anything special. Perhaps we just missed it, and it's our loss. That said, there were a lot of pot plants about and that was kinda pretty. But then again we've been to other places which are much more picturesque and prettier... (Ok, not in Crete, but we are new here!)
I feel bad giving this place 3/5, since maybe they are trying to use Google map reviews to drive tourists here. I hope they add more pot plants, make it super pretty, so others can rate it higher on the future, and I wish them well.
