It is one of the most complete and perfectly located museums of the genre and the quality and the professional presentation of the exhibits are very impressive. All the items related to the daily, social life and history of the Vlachs, of past times, impress the visitor who learns What did it once mean to be a Vlach? Also impressive is the willingness of those in charge and especially of its president, to analyze with emotion and sharpness, everything that the exhibits reveal and remember. If the visitor of the city of Serres does not visit the Museum, will have missed an important opportunity to know and learn all that will be narrated by the exhibits and those in charge.

The Folklore Museum of the Vlachs is housed in a 3-storey building in the center of the city of Serres, at 2 Karaiskaki Street and belongs to the Association of Vlachs of Serres "Georgakis Olympios" (founded in 1976). The building consists of three levels: the semi-basement which is a place for teaching traditional dances, the first floor (representation of a Vlach house with minarets, textiles, sofras and fireplace) and the second floor which is a purely exhibition space. According to the museum study conducted by Christos Broufas, the exhibited museum material is divided into 7 sections. The first section deals with the birth of a child and participation in domestic activities. The second, young in the herd and specifically the teenager in animal husbandry, while the third is about the young girl on the loom. The fourth category concerns the wedding dress of the Vlach bride and in the next section, which is a continuation of the previous one, the theme is the wedding procession with the traditional costumes. In the sixth section, the clothes of the groom and the dowry are exhibited. Finally, the seventh section deals with supper dinner. The purpose of the museum is to preserve, highlight and spread the popular culture of the Vlachs of the wider region of Serres. Over the years, customs fade, villages are abandoned, lifestyles and clothing change, leaving unused traditional tools that have been so popular for centuries. All these are collected and exhibited in the Folklore Museum of the Vlachs so that their use and purpose are not ignored in a few years.
