Fantastic!!! It is a 30' walk down through a marked trail to the waterfall but it worth it! Take a swimsuit with you and extra dry warm clothes because you are going to freeze! But you can just rest there and have lunch and enjoy taking photos!! A useful tip : if you decide to swim in the waterfalls you'll have to take off your shoes....so a pair of rubber sea shoes something like the ones you were if a beach is too rocky or for diving , it will save your feet from cold and scratching!

The second bridge was broken and unfortunately we couldn't get to the waterfall itself. The road to the waterfall is about 3km, there were a lot of slippery fallen leaves in December and it was quite uncomfortable to get there.

One of the best highlights of the beautiful Rodopi Mountain Range. Every season of the year there is something new you can discover.

Words cannot describe the breathtaking view of the waterfall during the winter! I had the luck to experience it half-frozen giving the whole place an out-of-this-world feeling. Huge beeches and pines create a landscape that will be unforgettable. The trail starts a few minutes after the village Livaditis that you can go by car. It is short (about an hour of decent) and the ascent is pretty easy. If you don't have a jeep though, you have to walk 2-3 kms more. Do not forget to drink from the river, bring a snack and do not forget to take a selfie there!

An amazing must live - see experience. The path is breathtaking and the waterfall is the best reward. Unfortunately didn't have the chance to stand under it

This is pretty much one of the most amazing experiences we ve ever had!! It s about 45min to an hour (if you stop for photos) to go down (it definitely helps to find a stick for support) and an hour to get back up.. It s not for the faint hearted though! I

This is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Rhodopes. But, please, it is definitely not the highest waterfall on the Balkan peninsula! Access to there is not hard. The trail is marked excellent and it is very difficult to get lost. 4.6 km is the distance between the village of Livaditis and the waterfall. If you drive 1.2 km further on the asphalt road to Erymanthos forest village you will shorten your route to 3.4 km. Be very careful on the second wooden bridge and the serpentines in the final part of the route. It is wet and steep. If you want a magnificent view to the waterfall, when you pass the wooden shelter before the serpentines, climb 15 m further on the rock and you will find incredible panorama from there!

Wonderful forest walk with very little litter and peaceful surroundings. The waterfall is one of the tallest in Greece and makes a slight for a rest. Generally an easy path down.
