★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once you have seen the 12m Eiffel Tower on the road out of Filiatra you have to find and see the castle and the Trojan horse. They are totally bizarre and completely out of place but there is little you can do other than admire the builders/owners eccentricity. You can drive to them but you can not get inside the castle or the horse.
The next little village has a great taverna, on the left as you come in opposite the church, which is worth having lunch at

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you visit this area, you must visit this place. Great, hilarious castle, mixing fairy tales, medieval times, Greek mythology and Gods, the Trojan war, the Mycenaean times, Alexander the Great and even the Greek revolution against the Ottomans. Everything mixed in! But it is very picturesque, in a place with one of the nicest sunsets in Greece. Also try one of the nice local restaurants; I recommend the Mill. Don't miss this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As the name suggests, that place was built for children primarily, however it has some statues/figures that come from Greek mythology. Unfortunately this castle is closed for many years now and the only reason for someone to visit, is to take photos and perhaps enjoy the Seaview. The person that was inspired to make this, also made the "mini" Eiffel Tower located in filiatra, a city not far from this castle.

The castle is very, very beautiful...
But the near surrounding is sooo dirty...
That made us really sad.
