Unfortunately, we got only warmed up food, the grill was not even on and disinterested mood. We hope that this was simply an exception and other guests will have a better experience. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an absolute gem! Hands down the best food/night we had in Crete. This family-run restaurant resolves all around authentic barbeque. Giorgos prepares a barbeque that is ready around 8/8:30. We were there at 7 and were the first guests. All the locals and foodies knew the rules and showed up closer to when the meal would be ready (the place was packed by 9). That said, we were equiped with tasty tsaziki and Greek salad to start with. There was no menu but the friendly chef's wife explained us how things work and made sure we were having a good time.
The food was absolutely delicious and plentyful, the atmosphere relaxed and authentic. I'd recommend anyone who is open to go the "local" way to come here. We really felt a warm welcome and had an amazing dinner here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The tavern does not look fancy at all, BUT it was the best food that we have eaten on Cerete - prices are great aswell. I think its a must-visit place for everyone that wants to try a moussaka.

They will even show you the garden where they grow the crops likes tomatoes that they put into the salad and so on.
Everything is tasty. Expect a humble place with with some food made with heart.
