H	Hellenic FPV club on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Φαντάστηκα μονοπάτια και παντού ρυάκια με τρεχούμενο νερό και ηταν καλοκαίρι, φαντάζομαι τον χειμώνα θα γίνεται χαμός εκεί! Θεωρώ οτι έχει για μένα δυσκολία 6/10 σαν πεζοπορία και σίγουρα θα χρειαστείτε μπατόν μέχρι την κορυφή! I imagined paths and streams everywhere with running water and it was summer, I imagine in winter it will be a waste there! I think it has a difficulty of 6/10 for me like hiking and you will definitely need a walking stick to the top!

A	Anthony Charalampous on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Παρόλο την ονομασία του βουνού (ξεροβούνι) μόνο ξερό δεν είναι αφού υπάρχουν πολλές πηγές και πολλά μέρη για να κατασκηνώσει κανείς κάτω από τη σκιά των δέντρων. Περιμετρικά υπάρχει δάσος πλούσιο σε χλωρίδα. Κατά την ανάβαση συναντάμε καστανιές, έλατα, πεύκα, οξιές κ.α. Από το Ξεροβούνι μπορούμε να δούμε την κορυφή της Δίρφυς, ενώ έχουμε και θέα στο Αιγαίο Πέλαγος. Για πεζοπορία στο βουνό καλύτερη εποχή είναι η άνοιξη και το φθινόπωρο. (Η διάσχιση της κορυφογραμμής του κατά τη διάρκεια του χειμώνα δεν είναι καθόλου εύκολη υπόθεση - αλλά χωρίς χιόνια είναι αρκετά διασκεδαστική) Despite the name of the mountain (xerovouni) it is not only dry as there are many springs and places to camp under the shade of the trees. Surrounding there is a forest rich in flora. During the ascent we meet chestnuts, firs, pines, beeches and more. From Xerovouni we can see the top of Dirfi, while we also have a view of the Aegean Sea. The best time to hike in the mountains is spring and autumn. (Crossing its ridge during the winter is no easy task - but without snow it is fun enough)

J	Jim Nas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Καλοκαίρι - Εύκολο προς μέτριο Χειμώνα - Δύσκολο (Πιολέ και κράμπον απαραίτητα) Τρομερή εμπερία. Σχετικά εύκολο όταν δεν έχει χιόνι και πάγο με τρομερή θέα τη Δίρφυ. Τα τελευταία μέτρα πριν την Νότιο Δυτική κορυφή χρειάζονται και χέρια. Σε κάποια σημεία οι πέτρες δεν είναι σταθερές.Το χειμώνα απαραίτητoς ο εξοπλισμός για περπάτημα/σκαρφάλωμα σε πάγο. Την Βόρεια πλευρά σε πολλα σημεία δεν τη βλέπει καθόλου ο ήλιος όποτε απ'το πρώτο χιόνι κιόλας μπορεί να μείνει πάγος για βδομάδες. Summer - Easy to moderate Winter - Difficult (Piole and crampons necessary) Terrible experience. Relatively easy when there is no snow and ice with a terrible view of Dirfi. The last steps before the South West peak also need hands. In some places the stones are not stable. In winter the equipment for walking / climbing on ice is necessary. The North side in many places is not seen at all by the sun whenever even the first snow can leave ice for weeks.
